Abstract
Statistical observations and brief reviews of forty-one patients who admitted to the Han Il Hospital with abdominal trauma during the period from January 1965 to October 1969 were carried out. Among the forty-one cases of abdominal trauma, non-penetrating wounds were thirty one (75.6%) and penetrating wounds were 10 cases (24. 4%).
The most common cases were seen within four hours after injury. The treatment for rupture of the liver was- pr mate suture or primary suture with gelform and adequate drainage.. For the ruptured spleen and kidney were splenectomy and nephrectomy and ruptured bowel was primary suture or segmental resection with end-to-end anastomosis.
The most common complications after operation for abdominal trauma were wound infection and paralytic
